Casey AI

An assistant for the paperwork, not a second opinion on the law

Casey AI is the AI assistance layer inside FamilyCasePro. It exists to remove reading and sorting from the attorney's day while leaving every legal decision where it belongs.

Read what you upload

A PDF with a text layer is read directly. A scanned PDF or image is read through optical character recognition, so a document that arrived as a picture becomes searchable text in the matter.

Suggest a filing category

Casey AI proposes a document type, tags, and the parties or children a document appears to concern, from the controlled vocabulary the firm uses. Suggestions are visible and can be corrected.

Support drafting on request

When an attorney asks for it, drafting assistance starts from the matter data already collected. Nothing is generated automatically and nothing is filed or sent without an attorney acting on it.

What Casey AI never does

Clear boundaries are the point. If a task requires legal judgment, it is not automated.

  • Runs the child-support calculation. Calculations come only from the loaded jurisdiction ruleset, never from a language model.
  • Changes a figure, an overnight allocation, or an approved intake answer on its own.
  • Communicates with a client, a court, or an opposing party.
  • Replaces attorney judgment. Every output is a draft that an attorney reviews, edits, and either uses or discards.

How it is governed

Document reading and classification are triggered from inside a matter the user already has access to, and the model, version, and outcome are recorded with the document so the firm can see how a classification was produced. Processing is limited to firm members, and a document that is too large or unreadable is reported rather than guessed at.
